Pursuit Gym

To bring in the new year my best friends, Nikki and Kesia and I decided that we were going to get our sweat on (because I don't sweat enough as it is). My sister was the one who actually discovered the gym and was eager to go, so we accompanied her.

The best way to describe Pursuit Gym, is as a huge indoor obstacle course, but for adults. It felt like we were 8 yeas old and back on the playground, only we were indoors and grown. The gym had a variety of walls we had to climb over and crawl under, monkey bars we had to swing from, and a large pit filled with soft balls. There were crawl spaces, ropes to maneuver, balancing pods, and a huge wall you had to run up. I was still under contract at the time with my team in Russia, so I didn't think it would be wise to attempt to run up the wall, for safety reasons. However, my sister attempted it and was almost successful! She  was able to reach the top but just didn't have enough strength to pull herself up. Away from the obstacle course, there was a free weights area to get your own work out in if you desired Being the athlete that I am, I led a mini core work out with my friends afterwards. Overall it was a really fun experience, and I would go back in the future. It’s an enjoyable way to get a full body workout in without realizing it.

My sister and I did time ourselves going through the entire course and lets just say that we hope to get our times way down in the future. I also discovered that monkey bars are not my forte anymore. Gotta work on that arm strength Kay!

For all my GTA (Greater Toronto Area) friends, check out Pursuit Gym if you have the opportunity. I guarantee you'll have a blast!

Thanks for stopping by and God bless!
